Spoon-billed Sandpiper
In 2011, Rodney Russ owner of Heritage Expeditions allowed WWT (Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust) to use his expedition ship, the Spirit of Enderby, to transport the eggs that the WWT team had collected. It was an amazing privilege being aboard as several eggs hatched and in this image we see a three day old sandpiper. Surely one of the avian world's cutest youngsters !!
